Sustainable viticulture with organic fertilisation and the minimum use of spraying. Vines with an average age of about 30 years, mostly trellised and cordon pruned.
In a sun-drenched bowl between three mountain ranges on the lower slopes of Mont Ventoux. Altitude of 120-140m. Well-drained soil of limestone and clay. Predominant northerly wind (Mistral); drying the air after rain.
A classic Southern Rhône blend. Aromas of red forest fruit and hints of plum and soured cherries. A wellbalanced, rounded, supple flavor; with light tannins and notes of black pepper, hints of spice leading to succulent cherry fruit.
A wine to age for a few years or drink now. Serve with red meat, casseroles and stews and cheeses. Great on its own.
